Needing help with my first DIY mix

Hi fellow vapers I'm needing a little help with some calculations,I've purchased some 48mg nicotine with 100%pg, I would like to reduce that to 24mg,now according to the eliquid calculator, the final mix would end up being
24mg target pg 70%,vg 30%,
amount to be made 30ml,
So I would start with
48mg nicotine,15ml
Pg,6ml
Vg,9ml
Makes 30 mls
Now with the 6ml of pg in the final mix,does that mean I have to add the extra 6ml of pg when my original buy is already 100% pg or does that mean I only have to add the 9ml of vg to my new mix and also with flavouring,if I use a concentrate do I have to account for that in the calculation as well. Gee I hope someone can understand this,I think I lost myself back at Hi fellow vapours,lol

 

Your PG based nic is 50% of what goes in the bottle.
That counts as 50 on the PG side of the ratio.
9ml of VG = 30% or 30 of the VG side of the ratio.
So you now have 50/30 PG/VG but we know that the ratio has to add up to 100 50+30 = 80, the other 20 has to be PG to make 70/30 = 100.

Now if you plan to use concentrate to get flavor, the concentrate counts as PG, so if you want 20% flavor, it also counts as 20 PG in the PG/VG ratio.
If you only want 10% flavor then you also have to add extra PG.
6ml = 20% so 10% = 3ml 5% = 1.5ml.
Add your flavor first then add some PG to make 6ml

 

The overall rating of the end product you wish to achieve is 24mg of 70pg/30vg @ 30mls.
The calculator you used is correct with the ratios. If you are wanting to add "flavour" then you will have to consider the PG/VG rating of it as an additive. Sadly if you have 100pg flavour as a "doubler" mixing it with your nic wont work be.comse to achieve the 70/30 rating you need to add VG in there which will either dilute the stregth or the flavour.

Ideally if you had a doubler of 40pg/60vg then add it 50/50 to your nic and you will get and end product of 24mg 70pg/30vg. If it were a concentrate then you have a bit more flexablilty.
If the addition of concentrate recommended was say 20% you would do the following:
15ml 48mg pg 100 nic +
6ml pg100 concentrate +
9ml Vg = 24mg 30pg/70vg.

To help you out with your situation I think it would be of great assistance to provide the information of what flavour you are wanting to incorporate to your nic. IE doubler vs concentrate and the PG/VG rating of it.

Just very quickly though, if it's your first batch, maybe consider making up 5-10 mls
