Alpha ultramax ??

Alpha ultramax any one have information on this.. I think capevett did a review... thoughts? what have people heard?

questions... can anyone make out if i can use a 18650 in any of them and if so what one?

correct but.. I have never seen a 17670 anyone tell me what mah's they come in? now I think... rcr123a's stacked is about the same as a 18650....thats part of what confuse's me.. I got to hold this mod.. the 14500 version.... wish i had playd more with that one.

I have the Alpha Max RES
6v with the RES is really warm the whole unit gets hot. 3.7v with an LR Atty seems to be the sweet spot for this unit. Yes 17670 are what you need and innovapor sells them also.
The switch teakes some getting used to but once you manage it it;s very easy to do. The trick case is really nice but pricey $$$$ but holds everything you need to take with you.
The RES for an average vaper should last 1-1 1/2hrs maybe a little more. The quality of the workmanship is A+
I will say this if I did not have a GGTS AVS this would be my main stay PV. As it is it's my backup PV

thank you CV, my Question is this... for the price... what is the price you paid for the Alpha... and what price for the GGTS with AVS...... if i am spending the $ on 1 of them... should my choice be the GG? or what I may talk myself into is getting the GGTS with tank... (Question how big is that tank?) then buying a alpha that takes the 14500... for a smaller back up tank mod......

the UFS is a 5-6ml tank you can put on it, the liquinator from vaporessence works very well also on it.

Are you talking size or mah? As for size the rcr123a is the same size as a 16340. 16 mm in diameter and 34 mm long so two stack would be about 16 mm diameter and 68 mm long (this can very due to PCB or having the positive nipple). Now an 18650 is 18 mm in diameter by 65 mm long. The 17670 is 17 mm in diameter and 67 mm in length. Are you picking up on the sizing here? So the ultramax can handle a max diameter of 17mm, and the spring takes up the difference in length.

As for power, that is a different story. Stacking batteries ups the voltage not the mah, so 2 x 3v rcr123a 500 mah batts will give you 500 mah worth of vaping at 6v. Here we have the tradeoff, more voltage for more vapor and hotter vapor, or a high mah larger batt at 3.7v for a longer run time. You can simulate higher voltage by using a low ohm atty, but the lower the ohm of the atty the more power that it uses and the faster it drains the large cell.

This is probably more than you wanted to know, but I hope that it helps.

 

The Alpha fully kitted will be about $200. The SS GGTS with UFS will be about $400, if you can find one or you wait till they are back in stock. You could probably find an older GGTS (aluminum or Nickle plated) with the AVS for $200 to$300 depending on condition. It will be used of course.
