I'm moving from Adelaide where I have had no problems, to Brisbane where they have introduced strict laws. Has anyone had problems getting e-liquid containing nicotine delivered to Qld?

    Absolutely agreed...

I have search the Poisons Regulations 1965 and there is absolutely NOTHING regarding the restriction of Schedule 7 substances for personal use, only retail sale.
Westerncomstralian Legislation - Poisons Regulations 1965 - Home Page

And the only thing in the 1964 act states that:

    (5) The Commissioner of Health may from time to time, by notice,
impose such conditions and restrictions on the sale, supply, use
and possession of any poison included in Schedule 7 as he
considers necessary for safeguarding the public health.

I would ask if the commissioner of health has imposed ANY conditions on the importation of nicotine.

Also, the investigator conveniently left out the last part of the customs quote:

Liquid nicotine, is scheduled as a 'Schedule 7 Poison' under the Standard for the Uniform Scheduling of Medicines and Poisons (SUSMP). As such, it is considered a substance with a potential for comsing harm which requires special precomtions in manufacture, handling or use. Other substances listed in Schedule 7 include chlorine and arsenic. The listing of a poison in Schedule 7 does not usually justify an import prohibition.

Anyway, I'll just leave that for the professionals to discuss :/

^^^^ Would be interesting to see what strength Nic it was ?
First time I have ever seen a letter such as that ... hopefully just an overzealous burcomcrat .... or the Vince thing has poked the right bear at last?

Edit ... the QLD Dept of Health did a flag waving exercise a few years back ,a confiscated a couple of imports ... then business as usual ... I would be waiting for the flood of indignant buyers before going off about it ? ( But thats just me :) )
