Is this battery anything to worry about

Hi just a quick question about my battery Sony VTC5 2600mAh 30 Amp
As you can see in this pic there is a dis colorization at the top
under the plastic on this battery and not to sure if its leaking.
Its only 60 days old never gets hot or smelly runs and charges perfectly.
I use it in a VAMO V5 at 12.5w with a 1.5 ohm coil in a Magma RDA
I rather ask someone more knowledgeable than me if you think its still
safe to use?

I'd still use it.

 

at 12.5w a lemon with a copper nail and an iron would be safeish.
However... the Sony batteries store enough power to blow the skin of one FM's friday night puddings and therefore should be handled with kid gloves (ie; get a kid with gloves to handle it, far safer. [claps hands] hey vape kid, c'mon and press my vamo button, chop chop]

Some pics may help, and for the ultimate advice, you could write to Supersports600 here for the best opinion.

yeah, my VTC4s have unfortunately had juice on them, all stained under the wrapper and ugly as sin. The VTC green wrapper stains pretty bad. Nothing to worry about though.

In the end if you are not sure about the battery throw it out for ten bucks is it worth the risk

Thanks for the replies I agree $10 isn't worth the risk rather be safe than sorry, Sony's quality control should be bit better than a 60 day turn around. I might try the AW IMR ones see how they go.

 

I use these on a regular rotation

Plus they got some of the best juice, and I have tried tons of juices haha, but seriously
These batteries are steady and reliable

I would use it until its flat then toss it out, Those batteries store a lot of power and in the wrong scenario could explode :grief: , The deader it is before tossing it out the better. I've had extra batteries really heat up in seconds in my pocket be.comse they were touching my keys. I should use containers when transporting them and not just tossing them in my pockets with my keys, change, pocket knife, etc.
