510 USB passthrough question

I get maybe 2 or 3 puffs out of it then it stops working and I have to wait a few minutes til it will work again. Is that how they're supposed to work? I've just got a standard atomizer on it and am dripping.

 

Your USB port cannot handle the current draw and is continually shutting down. An alternative USB power source is required lest you damage something.
